E-mail this page Share on Facebook Share on Pinterest Share on Twitter Print this page Located in our hometown of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, the museum offers a number of interactive exhibits to enjoy, including: How It’s Made, a recreation of the foundry experience; The Lodge History & Legacy exhibition, which walks you through the story of Lodge Cast Iron over multiple generations; Cast Iron in Culture, where the cast iron’s versatility and cultural significance is literally put on display. Here, Southern food (and a few of our culinary heroes) get a shout-out through displays created in partnership with the Southern Foodways Alliance. And did we mention one very large skillet? History-making and creativity meet at the museum with the wonder that is the World’s Largest Cast Iron Skillet—measuring 18 feet across and already a celebrity after making its way up I-59 earlier this year. “After years of development, we’re thrilled to be opening the Lodge Museum of Cast Iron right here in our hometown to invite visitors from near and far to experience our history and culture,” says Mike Otterman, CEO and President of Lodge Cast Iron. “We are taking our Lodge community beyond their kitchens, backyards and campfires and bringing them right into the heartbeat of cast iron, peeling back the curtain to offer an experience unlike any other.” We couldn’t be more excited to host you in our new museum. Since 1896, we’ve been proud to manufacture heirloom-quality cast iron cookware at our foundries in South Pittsburg. Whether baking bread, grilling vegetables, or searing steak, we’ve loved to see our products play an indispensable role in your daily life—inviting you to try, learn, laugh, taste, and create memorable moments. The Lodge Museum of Cast Iron brings this legacy to life. Beginning on Saturday, October 8, visitors can enter the museum through the South Pittsburg Factory Store.
