Make the Frittata of Your Dreams

By: Lodge Cast Iron / March 30, 2023

In honor of April’s Recipe of the Month, we gathered a list of frittata ingredients to help you build your own. This is a very forgiving dish, so don’t be afraid to experiment with quantities and combinations that fit your taste. Whether you’re hitting the farmers’ market for summer produce or need a use-it-up recipe to clear out your fridge, a frittata will celebrate whichever ingredients you bring to the table.

This might be our favorite part of the frittata! Some of our favorite combos? Parmesan and goat cheese or asiago and gouda. Go ahead, sprinkle in a little extra!

Herbs and spices

Add a pinch of your favorites! If you’re having trouble choosing, think about what will pair nicely with your veggies and cheese. During the summer we love to use fresh tomatoes and basil. And if we’re using feta, we always reach for the dill.

  • Fresh rosemary
  • Fresh thyme
  • Fresh chives
  • Fresh dill
  • Dried thyme
  • Fresh basil
  • Fresh parsley
  • Dried oregano
  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Turmeric
  • Cumin
