National Cornbread Festival
Every year, on the last full weekend of April, our hometown of South Pittsburg, Tennessee hosts the National Cornbread Festival for a weekend of fun, fellowship, food, and of course, cast iron!

What began as an idea to attract tourists to South Pittsburg has since blossomed into the nation's largest cornbread festival. Tens of thousands of cornbread enthusiasts gather here every year to share recipes, participate in the Lodge National Cornbread Cook-off, and to have a good time with friends and family.
As a bonus, we open up the Lodge foundries to public tours during the festival. Come see where your cast iron cookware got its start, and explore the process Lodge has established to create high-quality, seasoned cookware.
Proceeds from the festival are invested into the community, helping people and local businesses that share a home with Lodge.
Lodge Cast Iron National Cornbread Cook-Off
As part of the National Cornbread Festival, Lodge sponsors the National Cornbread Cook-off, a search for the nation's best cornbread entree. Contestants nationwide submit an original recipe for a cornbread entree for a chance to win $5,000 cash and other great prizes. Recipes must be original, prepared with at least one cup of Martha White Cornbread Mix, and cooked in Lodge Cast Iron cookware.
