Lodge Wins Best of the Best Award
Earlier this summer, Lodge Cast Iron was a finalist in two categories under Best Employer for the Chattanooga Times Free Press 2021 Best of the Best awards. It’s with great excitement we announce we placed in the top 3 for both categories!
Lodge Cast Iron was honored in the following categories:
- Best Employer: Food/Bev Company – RUNNER-UP!
- Best Employer: Industrial Manufacturing Company – FIRST PLACE!
That’s right, we are getting a shiny new plaque for Lodge's first-place win, and this is our second year in a row winning for Best Employer: Industrial Manufacturing Company! Both awards speak volumes about what a great place Lodge is to work, and the employees made it happen by voting.
Congratulations to the company, and to all the individuals who strive every day to make Lodge the best it can be! This frames Lodge as the business of excellence that it is.
“It is so exciting to see Lodge take home the win for Best Employer: Industrial Manufacturing Company, for the second year in a row!” said Associate Brand Manager Adam Feltman. “For Best of the Best overall, there were even more businesses nominated and more votes cast this year, so we should all be very proud!”
VP of Human Resources Amanda Groves echoes those sentiments, thanking employees who made this award possible by voting and spreading the word with friends and family.
“Congratulations to the company, and to all the individuals who strive every day to make Lodge the best it can be,” she said.
How Lodge Began Seasoning Cast Iron
When Lodge first started making cast iron 125 years ago, it wasn’t sold seasoned and ready to use like it is today.
The History of Lodge's Skillet & Egg Logo
In 1973 Lodge created its first official logo. At the time no one imagined the simple black skillet frying a single egg would become an iconic symbol of American-made cast iron cookware.
