Lodge History Second Lodge Foundry Now in Production By: Lodge Cast Iron / December 4, 2017 Operations in our second Tennessee foundry are now underway! The new 127,000 square foot facility is located just a few blocks from our original foundry in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Lodge's hometown since 1896. This foundry does not replace our first foundry, but will operate alongside it to increase our capacity. The new foundry, nicknamed the 3rd Street Foundry, includes a melt center with two induction furnaces, a sand system, and two sand molding machines. The foundry increases our manufacturing capacity by 75%.
